Credit Analyst Job Description - CIMC Capital
CIMC Capital is a subsidiary of CIMC Group, a $15Bn international conglomerate. We are an
entrepreneurial finance company that supports CIMC Group’s US operations and finances equipment for
our own balance sheet. CIMC Capital is not a Bank, and we have the ability to underwrite the story
behind the numbers.
CIMC Capital is looking for a Credit Analyst to join our growing equipment finance business. We are
looking for smart, energetic, entrepreneurial candidates who want to apply their financial skills to assist
in our goal of responsible growth. Typical transaction sizes are $1MM to $50MM .
In this position, you will
• Be responsible for credit underwriting and portfolio management.
• Support the full lifecycle of credit decisions - prescreen, proposal, underwriting, due diligence,
document preparation, closing, monitoring, and modifications.
• Prepare concise, well-reasoned credit reports and help present them to committee.
• Evaluate financial performance of private and public companies based on a variety of factors
including past and current performance and market changes over time.
• This would include review of various audited and unaudited financial statements, including
balance sheet, income statement, cash flows, and statement of changes in equity.
• Determine appropriate risk rating based on financial performance.
• Assist Finance team with financial operations.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support various projects.
• Work closely with CIMC Capital CEO, relationship managers, operations, and customers.
• Provide the highest level of customer service at all times and work as a team player to
accomplish goals.
Qualifications:
• Ideally, candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree preferably in finance, accounting,
business, or financial engineering and one to three years related experience and/or training
preferably in credit or financial analysis; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Mandarin business speaking and writing is preferred, but not required.
• Leasing and equipment finance knowledge is preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of credit and risk criteria in regulated and unregulated financial lending.
• Ability to multi-task and work on multiple transactions.
• Strong attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
• Self-starter who is flexible and knows the right thing to do, has the confidence to do things
correctly in an entrepreneurial environment. CIMC Capital is not a regulated bank.
• Ability to work in an office environment 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs) with Friday at home.
Office is in the Chicago western suburbs.
• Ideal candidate will be a willing learner and will bring a desire to broaden their skill set and grow
their duties/responsibilities as the business continues to diversify and expand.
• Proficient in Excel, MS Office, pivot tables, databases, and financial software applications.
